Expected Behavior
For All Platform Users
- Treat others with respect, kindness, and consideration
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide accurate personal information when creating an account
- Report safety concerns or violations of this Code promptly
- Protect the privacy and personal information of others
- Comply with our platform's policies and terms of service
For Passengers
- Be ready at your pickup location when your driver arrives
- Treat drivers and their vehicles with respect
- Do not request drivers to exceed passenger or weight limits
- Do not request drivers to violate traffic laws or safety regulations
- Provide accurate feedback based on your actual experience
For Drivers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained vehicle
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Be professional and courteous to all passengers
- Arrive at pickup locations promptly and follow the agreed route
- Respect passenger privacy and confidentiality
- Complete background checks and vehicle inspections as required
- Maintain required insurance coverage
Prohibited Behaviors
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Physical Safety Violations
- Violence or threats of violence
- Carrying weapons in violation of local laws
- Dangerous driving or requesting dangerous driving
- Sexual assault or inappropriate touching
Harassment and Discrimination
- Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age
- Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or inappropriate comments
- Verbal abuse, insults, or derogatory language
- Bullying, intimidation, or stalking
Fraudulent Activity
- Creating fake accounts or providing false information
- Manipulating the platform for financial gain
- Avoiding fees or fare payments
- False reporting of incidents or issues
Prohibited Items and Activities
- Transportation of illegal goods or substances
- Use of the service for illegal activities
- Damage to property or vandalism
- Unauthorized commercial activities on the platform
Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct:
- For immediate safety concerns, contact local emergency services (e.g., 911)
- Report the incident through our app's safety features
- Contact our Trust & Safety team at safety@ceno.ng
- Provide details including date, time, location, and descriptions of involved parties
All reports will be handled confidentially and investigated promptly.
Enforcement
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Warnings and educational guidance
- Temporary suspension from the platform
- Permanent deactivation of accounts
- Reporting to law enforcement in cases of illegal activity
- Legal action where appropriate
The specific consequences will depend on the nature and severity of the violation, as well as any history of previous violations.
